Room 6: The XIVth century's frescoes
In this room there are several fresco fragments of the Bolognese XIVth century school.
There are only rare artworks remaining of that interesting period, consequently it is a difficult task to reconstruct its historical development.
At the right of the entrance there are two fragments with “Christ stories” and “St. Francis stories”, attributed to Francesco da Rimini, am example of the beginning of the Bolognese fresco school, between 1320's and 30's.
On the large wall on front is exposed the Vitale da Bologna's "Last Supper" from the St. Francis church.
Another large composition, “St. James at the Clavjio battle”, attributed to the "Maestro della Crocifissione Campana" (once known as the "Pseudo Jacopino"), is on the right wall.
