Room 16: The XVIth century painting in Bologna and Romagna
In this room are displayed two small paintings of the Ferrara school: the Holy Family by Benvenuto Tisi called the Garofalo and the Madonna with Child in glory with angels by Giovan Battista Benvenuti called the Ortolano.
In front of these are displayed two interesting artworks by Innocenzo Francucci from Imola, one of the most renowned Romagna classicists, and by Giacomo Francia, the son of the most knowed Francesco, which reveal the profound adoption of the Classical roman style, imported with Raphael's Extasy of St. Cecilia.
